Mulberry silk is known as the finest and most durable fabric for thousands of years now .It is smoother and softer than any other silk in the world especially when it comes to textiles. This is special because it is produced by silkworms fed with mulberry leaves and handled with special care. Discovered in China this fabric spread in Europe only later as the Chinese kept the process of making it as a secret for over 2000 years. Mulberry silk is a strong, shiny and smooth material which I combined with thin tulle silk when weaving this scarf that results in a light and elegant piece.
